A bad ground to the tank, a bad ground between the engine and the chassis or a loose connection on the sender wire can all cause erratic readings. 		<description>&lt;b&gt;08 uplander gas gage fluctuating replaced fuel pump &amp; sending unit still doing it any idea what could b wrong?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;they said they have checked everything else that would cause this problem but it is still reading wrong.  will show 1/4 tank then drop to 1/8 then back up to over 1/4 tank before finally stops moving.
