On Jun 22nd-24th TrashTalkFCM transformed the “Good Morning America” studio in Times Square into a live game show set for eBay. The pop-up game show, called eBays Lets Make a Daily Deal combined elements from The Price is Right and Lets Make a Deal, with contestants randomly selected from a 50-member audience to come onstage and bid on jewelry, electronics and appliances available on eBay. The contestant who came closest to the average eBay price without going over won the item and moved on to another price-guessing game. Prizes included diamond earrings, flat screen TVs, Canon Cameras and one lucky winner won a 2009 Chevy Malibu Hybrid.
Mario Cantone of “Sex & the City” hammed it up as the show’s motor mouth emcee and on Tuesday, June 23rd, legendary Lets Make a Deal host Monty Hall joined Cantone in running the show.
There were five games and 60 contestants daily. Consumers also had a chance to play a mobile version running outside on the NASDAQ digital billboard in Times Square by texting their answers or online playing the game at ebay.com/dailydealgame for a chance to win up to $25,000 in prizes.
